What we collect
ZakatCalc does not collect, store or transmit any personal information. The numbers you enter in our calculators stay in your browser and are never sent to our servers. We don't have a login system, an email list, or a database of users.
If you use our Prayer Times page, your location is requested by your browser and sent directly to the Aladhan API (aladhan.com) to retrieve prayer times. We do not receive or log your location.
Cookies
We use a single cookie (zc_cookie) stored in your browser's localStorage to remember whether you accepted or declined our cookie notice. That's it.
If we add Google AdSense advertising in the future, Google may set additional cookies to personalise ads. You can opt out of this via your cookie preferences using the link in our footer.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit our pages and which tools are most popular. Google Analytics uses anonymised, aggregated data. It does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking via the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
Advertising
We may display Google AdSense advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google's Ad Settings.
Third-party services
- Google Fonts — we load Outfit font from Google Fonts, which may log your IP address
- Aladhan API — prayer times requests go to aladhan.com; see their privacy policy
Your rights
Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to delete or export. If you have questions, contact us via the email address listed in your browser's WHOIS for our domain.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
